Charles and Sarah's favorite restaurant
The "Land & Sea Roll" has to be one of the very best things either of us has ever eaten, no exaggeration. It's comprised of shrimp tempura, cream cheese, jalapeno topped with spicy crab, seared wagyu tartare, garlic chips, green onion, sea salt, goat cheese, eel sauce, honey wasabi sauce. Other rolls we love include: "Wildflower roll" and the "Choo Choo roll."

This is one of Sarah's favorite restaurants of all time. The Butcher's Burger is a must-try, but it's so popular that it can run out early on busy nights.
Phở Phong Lưu
Best phở in Austin
Austin has no shortage of great Vietnamese restaurants, but Phở Phong Lưu reigns supreme when it comes to phở. If you're not in the mood for soup, there are rice dishes as well as bánh mì (Vietnamese sandwiches).

Nashville hot fried chicken
We love fried chicken. Sarah prefers to stick to the "Dang hot" heat level while Charles enjoys the "Cluckin' hot." Their pies are wonderful, too.
Torchy's Tacos

Although there are several locations all around Texas, Torchy's started in Austin. Sarah recommends the "Baja Shrimp" taco, and we both love the "Trailer Park" taco (ask for it "trashy"). Don't forget the chips and queso.
Kerbey Lane Cafe
Comfort food
You can’t travel to Austin and not indulge yourself in the melted gold that is queso. Many Austin natives will defend Kerbey Queso until their dying day, so you know you’re in good hands at Kerbey Lane!
Gossip Shack
Soul food chicken wings
Charles requires a minimum of 10 chicken wings per week to stay alive. Gossip Shack offers huge tasty chicken wings with all kinds of flavors. The waffles and fries are great, too.

Donut burgers?! Yes, donut burgers. We like our donuts like we like our tacos: the more meals the better! Finish off this tasty meal with a decadent donut dessert.

I know it sounds weird, but the "Goat Cheese, Thyme, and Honey" flavor is amazing and you have to try it. Other wonderful flavors include: "Texas Sheet Cake" and "Coffee with Cream." They also have tasty rotating seasonal specials.
