Kathy and Rick's home has a long driveway with lots of parking. We ask you to park along the sides, perpendicular to the driveway. Its ok to park on the grass but do not block other cars and ensure there is room for others to drive down the driveway.
For the Exchanging of Vows and Cocktail Hour Celebration: The bride and groom will be in a semi-formal dress and suit. Guests can wear something semi-formal. Michigan summers are warm and humid and there is always a chance of rain. If you are attending only the summer afterparty, dress is casual.
Both the ceremony and reception will be held outside. Shade can be found under a large tent and several large covered patios. Restroom facilities will be available on-site for guest use. In case of severe weather, we have an indoor backup plan to keep everyone comfortable.
Children are very welcome at our celebration. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere for all, we kindly request that parents step out with children if they become distressed or disruptive during the ceremony. After the ceremony, all children are welcome to play and celebrate. There will be yard games and even a pond with swim toys, bring your swimsuits!
There will be small bites and cocktails after the exchanging of vows, including; chips and dip, hummus and veggies, fruit, charcuterie, sushi, and chicken skewers. Buffet-style meal is served at the Summer Afterparty, including pulled pork, pasta, mac & cheese, fried chicken, salads, fruit, and veggies. Afterparty will have limited beer and wine. You are welcome to BYOB (bring your own booze). There will be vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. If you have other food allergies, please contact the bride or groom to ensure there will be options for you.
Please RSVP by June 25th.

Haha, yes! It’s a quick turnaround! We decided in early April to have a July wedding at Charlene’s mom’s beautiful home—giving us just about three months to plan! Thankfully, we’re surrounded by amazing family and friends who are helping us pull it all together and making the whole process even more special.
No. We decided to keep things simple and let our closest friends and family relax and enjoy the day alongside us, without the added commitments that can come with being part of a traditional wedding party. Even though there won't be any official wedding party roles, we're incredibly grateful for the love and support of the people in our lives. Having you celebrate with us is what makes the day special.
We would love help! If you want to assist with decorations, setup, or have other ideas or skills to contribute, just reach out!
