Michael and I met at a close friend’s wedding, where Michael was the best man and I was one of the bridesmaids. At that time in my life, I was going through a significant amount of changes and a wedding was the last place that I really wanted to be. Throughout that whole night, he brought back lot of joy. The instant that he held my hand and looked into my eyes, I was immediately captivated by him. That night, he introduced himself to me as “Mike.” Later on, my friend Brittany asked me, “Have you seen Heath?” (Knowing I had been hanging out with him.) I had no idea who she was speaking of. “Who?” I was so confused. “The guy you’ve been hanging with!” Brittany said. Little did I know, many of his friends call him Heath. Therefore, the hashtag “YouHadMeAtHeath” fits our wedding perfectly. From then on, we traveled back and forth over 2 hours practically every weekend to see each other. I cannot imagine someone ever giving me more love than Michael has. He understands me more than anyone I have ever known. To really know him is to experience love at its core. Two years later, I get to marry the man of my dreams.
