Temecula is home to many wineries! Wine tasting is a fun way to explore Temecula as well. Our venue holds an option for wine tasting daily, which is $18 Monday-Friday per person, and $20 Saturday and Sunday. Please drink responsibly as there are many checkpoints throughout the area.
“Take a step back in time as you walk the wooden boardwalks past rustic western-era buildings, antique shops, and specialty boutiques featuring Temecula-made artisan goods, or explore the most up-to-date trends including sampling pints at craft breweries, attending outdoor festivals, grabbing a bite of local, farm-to-table dining, or dancing to live music at bars and unique outdoor venues.”
This is Charity's favorite Ice Cream spot. Our favorite flavor is their Honey Lavender. There are many locations including Santa Monica, if you are planning to see the Santa Monica Pier, but this location is located in Downtown Disney. You can get free parking validation for a couple hours at Salt&Straw, but without validation, the parking is $14/hr. Save your receipt!
This is our favorite doughnut store! We recommend their Huckleberry flavor, but we haven't had a bad doughnut from them yet. They also have seasonal flavors. After making a pit stop here you could walk around and enjoy the beautiful Socal breeze and scenery at Balboa Island or Newport Back Bay. There's also a location in Santa Monica!
San Diego is our favorite place to visit in Southern California. There's no shortage of outdoor activities, great food, and the weather is truly unbeatable. It is a large county so be prepared to drive if you want to see and do multiple things. -Coronado Island: park for free in neighborhoods, lay on the beach, and rent a 4 wheel surrey bike to bike around the island! -Other scenic spots: La Jolla Cove/Coastal walk trail (watch sea lions bathe, and also watch the sunset here), sunset cliffs (popular cliff jumping spot, but I didn't say to do it :D) -Food: Tacos El Gordo (one of our favorite taco spots), Phil's BBQ
There are many options for affordable and tasty Vietnamese food. If there's a type of a food that epitomizes this, it's Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwiches). There's much debate to what's the best place, but Tan Hoang Huong, Banh Mi Saigon, and Banh Mi Che Cali are my personal favorites. I particularly like Banh Mi Che Cali as they have sandwiches for less than $4 each and if you buy two, you get the third free! They also have BOGO boba, numerous other snacks, and are open 24 hours/day!
Los Angeles is a fun city to explore for a couple days. Attractions/things to do are spread apart so some driving is required and depending on your luck, you may hit a block of traffic even in the middle of the day. Listed below are some of our favorite things the city offers: Food: Daikokuya (our favorite ramen place), Sushi Enya (open only for dinner), Father's Office, use yelp in korea town Museums: Getty Center (different from the Villa, free adm, but ~$15 for parking, we liked the architecture tour), Los angeles museums can visit free the second Tuesday of each month. Huntington Gardens is beautiful, it's a little outside LA city, but still in LA county and it is filled with gorgeous gardens, and also art history Attractions: Santa Monica Pier, Third Street Promenade, the Grove shopping center
