It's all happening!

"Hi, my name is Kevin." Kevin shook my hand after church service and I remember thinking "wow he has beautiful eyes" and the rest was hist.... Actually, after that we did not speak for, quite literally, months. Our paths kept on crossing and looking back God had it so nicely orchestrated. I started going back to our med school's Bible study group where he happened to lead. Of course, he barely spoke to me then too. I started to go to the library to work on research at my favorite spot from first year and a couple days later I noticed this study ninja looking figure dressed in all black with a black hat would briskly walk in and sit down right across from me. This incognito man was Kevin! I wanted a study buddy and he seemed perfect. Quiet. Reliable. And apparently a great person. So I messaged him on facebook to be study buddies and this time... the rest is history! He saved me a seat starting the next morning. Then he asked me out to dinner on Valentine's day which I really was unsure of whether or not it was a date... until he brought a rose. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I have ever done! I lucked out that he ended up a God fearing man who finds joy in the most simple things, serves me with all his heart, and has the most handsome face I can grow old staring at every day ;) You are the copilot I have been praying for since I was a little girl and I am so incredibly blessed to spend the rest of my life with you.

I always like to tell Charity that the first time we met I said "Hello gorgeous, my name is Kevin", which really did happen... but only in my head. The truth is our introduction happened quite some time before we began dating and it was short. We met at church and she introduced herself as a medical student that was two grade levels higher than me. Add that to the fact that she was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen and I thought that I didn’t have a chance so our conversation was brief. Fast forward to roughly one year later, on a random Wednesday night, and I was on the leadership board of our school’s Bible study group when I see Charity once again across the table! Many of my friends will tell you I was already in a committed relationship...with my exam prep book that I spent every evening with preparing for the most important board exam of medical school. Lucky for me, she kept attending the Bible studies and at the same time I also changed my study spot in the library, which coincidentally was on the same floor that Charity's studied on. One day I received a Facebook message from Charity asking if I wanted a new study buddy ;) And so we began studying together in the library, but it wasn’t until after I asked Charity out on our first date on Valentine’s day that we began to spend quality time together outside the library. To be honest, I can't say that our first date was extremely memorable as every moment with Charity became memorable, even the times when we were studying next to each other in silence. The thing I started to realize and continue to realize more and more is that Charity is the teammate I wanted in a soulmate. I never connected with someone as well as Charity in so many different facets of life. Someone I could go on morning jogs with and someone I could do morning devotions with. Someone who has motivated me in my career, but most importantly someone who draws me closer to God, who I often thank for orchestrating our story.
