Mike was a senior in high school and Olivia was a sophomore. Both played for the Riverside Brookfield (RB) boys and girls volleyball team, respectively. During each other's off season Mike and Olivia would serve as volunteer managers for the other team–recording player statistics on the bench during games, helping out with drills during practices, etc. Over the course of the 2013-2014 school year Olivia and Mike saw plenty of each other at practice and eventually started sitting next to each other on the bus to and from games. Fast forward to the end of the boys season, Mike suffered a season-ending injury in the state semifinal game. For Olivia, that's when she knew that Mike was more than just a friend. She helped Mike's mom get him home to their house and spent the rest of the evening watching the NBA finals and trying Pad Thai for the first time that was way too spicy, but she was to embarrassed to say anything. They spent everyday of that summer together. After 12 years of being together, they've been through a lot of life together–seen the birth of friends children, supported one another through family deaths, celebrated accomplishes in medical school and residency, and shared hugs during the anxiety-provoking periods that come with high-stress careers, but always make sure to laugh with each other every day. We look forward to sharing our special day with you and can't wait to share more of out story at our wedding ceremony. Thank you for taking the time to join us! All our love, Mike & Olivia
