This is Chandler's version.

Chandler and I met at Rookies, a very popular ice cream shop in Lynchburg. We were there for a hall event, and my friend Brad (who happened to also be Chandler's roommate) introduced us. We were on brother and sister dorms both our freshman and sophomore years, but it took us a year and a half to meet. That night, a group of us went back to campus to play a game of sloth tag (like normal tag with less running). Our group was inseparable for the first part of the semester. I started hanging out with Chandler and his roommates a lot that semester. The more I got to know Chandler, I realized there was just something different about him. I felt like we had been friends my whole life and I could trust him with everything I was too afraid to tell anyone else. On April 29th, 2021, Chandler told me he liked me and I told him I liked him too :) Unfortunately, his timing was less than ideal. He was going to work at a camp in Texas and I was going to work at a camp in Michigan. We spent the summer talking, calling, and writing letters. When we both got back to Liberty on August 19th, we started dating. The rest is history from there. Every moment, every laugh, and every adventure has been a blessing. On October 21st, 2022, Chandler said to me, "Can I ask you a question" which I thought was really cool because it was a line from a Taylor Swift song that was released that day. The question, as you might have guessed, was "Will you marry me" which I answered by jumping, squealing, happy crying, and eventually saying "Yes!". I can't wait to marry my best friend and the love of my life :)
