You might be confused to see a town listed but trust us! Show up early, find parking wherever you can, and enjoy the 15 walkable acres full of boutique shops, food & drink, and true Southern charm. Our top stops for those curious are Cosmic Plant Company, Fickle Pickles and Gruene Coffee Haus. Now go on and explore!
This was one of our first destinations when visiting the area. Stop by and grab something refreshing while you enjoy the live music and historic setting. Prepare to get carried away in conversation as you begin to relax. There is plenty of open-air indoor seating as well as tables outside for those who want some extra sun.
If you're looking for something to do on Saturday morning, check out the farmer's market! The farmer's market is where we love to try new things and find special treats for our T-man. If you work up an appetite, stop into Krause's Cafe next door for classic Deutsche meals with a Texas flair and live music.
Landa Park was the perfect backdrop for our engagement photos that you've seen. Enjoy a nice stroll, take a ride on the miniature train, or assemble yourself a picnic like we did. Depending on the weather, we recommend taking a dip in one of the spring-fed pools which generally stays at 72 degrees year-round.
Although a bit further, stopping by the river walk is a must for any visitor to the area. Treat yourself to a river cruise and learn about where this city comes from and what it has to offer. There is plenty to do on the river and don't be surprised when you find that you want to return sooner than later.
