From The Knot: If the invite says "formal" or "black tie optional", it suggests something slightly less formal than black tie. For the Ladies: A long evening dress, dressy suit, or formal cocktail-length dress. Please avoid black dresses as it is Filipino tradition to not wear black to weddings. Black shoes are fine. For the Men: A formal dark suit and tie. Black coats and shoes are fine but please avoid black shirts. Filipino guests may wear a Barong Tagalog if they prefer.
Yes. We are providing guest shuttles on the day of the wedding from Hampton Inn Norwich to the ceremony, from ceremony back to Hampton Inn Norwich, and from Hampton Inn Norwich to the reception and back. We are also providing a shuttle the day after our wedding from Hampton Inn Norwich to New Haven Union station, where guests can take a train to NYC. There will be limited seats only for this shuttle. Please see Travel and Lodging page for more details.
Yes, we have a hotel room block for our wedding weekend - please check the Travel & Lodging page for more information. Note that the hotel is near our reception venue and 1.5 hours away from the ceremony venue. If you would like to stay at a hotel closer to the ceremony venue on Friday and/or Saturday (before our wedding day), please reach out to Ces (celinedomingo@gmail.com or +12039012385) so she can give you other hotel options.
Unfortunately, we will not be shouldering accommodations for our guests but we will have rooms blocked off at special rates at a hotel near our reception venue. Please check our Travel & Lodging page for more details.
Please try to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony. All guests are requested to be inside the church before 2PM when the processional march promptly begins (no Filipino time please!). If you are part of the wedding party, we will give you detailed instructions soon!
To keep the solemnity of the ceremony, we respectfully ask everyone to refrain from using their mobile phones and personal cameras once the processional starts. We hired a great team of photographers and videographers to cover our wedding for us so we'd like our guests to just be present in the moment and enjoy the company of one another sans technology. You may start taking photos and videos after we are pronounced husband and wife and throughout the reception. Please use our hashtag when posting on Instagram: #TheBartozzis
Yes, but please note that cocktail hour can begin no earlier than 5:30PM since the caterer can only start setting the place up at 4:30PM. You may proceed to Hampton Inn Norwich first and check in (if you are booked there for Sunday night). You can then take the shuttle bus there going to the reception venue so you don't have to worry about drinking at the reception and driving after!
We are registered at Zola and at Bed Bath and Beyond. Please visit the Registry page on this website, which will have our Zola registry and a link to our BBB registry. Note that for cash gifts, Zola charges a 2.5% handling fee. You may give the gift to us directly on our wedding day instead. Thank you in advance!
Yes, please look for items marked as 'Our Most Wanted' on Zola or 'Favorite' on BBB. We also arranged the items in our Zola registry in order of most wanted/needed to least.
It will be summer but starting to transition into fall (fall officially begins September 21). It will be around 25-27 degrees Celsius so the weather will be lovely, but do pack a light jacket or shawl with you for chilly nights.
