How We Met

Things started off a little dirty...

... at the annual Big Lake Mud Volley Ball Tournament in July of 2019. Cecilia and Samart had been invited separately by mutual friends to the event, siblings in fact. Samart was friends with the older bother, and Cecilia with the young sister. After a few muddy games of volley ball our team was out of the tournament so a group (including the two of us) went out to eat afterwards where Samart gave Cecilia his contact information. Cecilia though, didn't have the guts to reach out to him. Samart had to resort to contacting her over facebook after they were tagged together in the photos from the tournament. When she finally responded (after what felt like an eternity) rest was history.

Our Story

First came food, then came... Bigfoot?

Similar interests drove their relationship from friends to fiancés. Food was a main passion to both; from cooking meals at home, to eating out, or to having food adventures including a fast food burger taste test, food has alway been a pillar in their relationship. Food bloomed to other similar interests such as Legos, camping, movies, dancing to the local band H3, aurora hunting, and most intriguingly - the unknown, like ancient aliens and Bigfoot. When the COVID19 pandemic hit the two were stuck together in quarantine, isolated (like Bigfoot) from the rest of the world. Instead of straining the relationship it only brought the two closer together.
