Duquesne Incline
Take the incline up the side of Mt. Washington and enjoy the incredible views overlooking beautiful Pittsburgh. A true yinzer right of passage, you’ll be adding fries onto your salads in no time!
Strip District
The Strip is a historic Pittsburgh neighborhood filled with local delicacies, cultural treasures, and all the Pittsburgh apparel your heart desires. Check out Deluca’s or Pamela’s for a classic diner breakfast (cash only!) or save up your appetite for Pittsburgh’s iconic fries-on-the-sammich spot - Primanti’s (original location in the Strip!). Afterwards, take a stroll down Penn Ave and stop into some locally owned small businesses for unique finds and Pittsburgh relics. If “trendy” is more your style, you’re in luck - The Terminal is the newest addition to the Strip. Check out Puttery for a unique indoor mini golf experience, Aslin Brewing for a drink, and more.
Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
Check out this Pittsburgh landmark full of beautiful blooms and unique displays. Phipps was Ashley’s first full-time job after college, and a major stepping stone for her career in the wedding industry. Check it aht!
Lawrenceville
Lawrenceville is one of Pittsburgh’s best neighborhoods for food, beverages, and small business shopping. Butler Street is your go-to destination for anything from breakfast + coffee to bbq + beer. Some of our favorites: Walter’s BBQ, The Abbey, Caffè d'Amore Coffeeshop. You really can’t go wrong!
The Andy Warhol Museum
Check out the largest collection of Andy Warhol’s art at this Pittsburgh Staple. Afterwards, head to Fig & Ash for dinner - one of the couple’s favorites!
North Shore
Home of PNC Park (Pirates) and Acrisure Stadium (Heinz Field - Steelers), the North Shore is the perfect place for some casual eats with great views. Ashley and Paul frequent Southern Tier Brewing, Shorty’s Pin & Pints, and Mike’s Beer Bar. This area is also home to Rivers Casino, the River Walk, and the Carnegie Science Center.
