One Friday night back in February 2017, Kelsie invited me to join her for a weekend in Kansas City. She planned on going to a concert, so I bought a ticket and we left Manhattan, KS for the weekend. We met friends at the Midland theatre and Denver stood next to me, the attraction was instant, but we were both really shy - and sober for that matter. We ended up conversing a lot the next day about anything and everything. Later that week, Denver asked if he could come visit me at school. A few days later, D sent flowers trying to make it official. It became increasingly clear that we had something special, that we connected on a deeper level. Both like to say, as cliché as it may be, that we found one another when we were least expecting it… at a rave.

Fast forward five years, and many adventures together. We were going on our greatest travel leg yet ~ Amsterdam. It had been a bucket list trip for both, and D so happened to have friends living in the Netherlands. We planned the trip to visit our dear friends Marquis, Jordan and Big Piet. Denver proposed on day 2 of our trip during a stroll through Princess Gardens along side our friends Marquis & Jordan. It was a sweet and romantic day that I’ll cherish forever.
