Airport Tips

Woodstock is about a two-hour drive from New York City airports LaGuardia and JFK, as well as Newark airport in New Jersey. Of the three, Newark is potentially your best bet as it's an easier drive upstate and allows you to avoid NYC traffic entirely. Albany International Airport ALB and Newburgh Stewart Airport SWF are both only an hour away if you're lucky enough to find a flight into one of those airports.

Accommodations Around Woodstock

Upstate New York has a variety of charming towns where you can stay. Saugerties is an easy 20 minute drive to Woodstock. Rhinebeck is a little further at 30 minutes but has some charming places to stay, as well. Kingston is just down the road from Woodstock at around 15 minutes and has a variety of branded hotels. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you find an Airbnb or a hotel and you want to know if it's in a good location. We are happy to help!

AirBnb is (in our opinion) the best option for accomodations in the area. The hotel and motel options are limited and sometimes overpriced, but there are seemingly limitless options for homes to rent on AirBnb.

This is the most centrally located motel option. It's an older, locally-owned motel on the peaceful Millstream Creek. Walking distance to anything & everything in Woodstock (including the golf course where the Friday night party is happening).

Hasbrouck House

A very lovely Dutch Colonial Inn in the nearby town of Stone Ridge with stone walls and wide plank wood floors. A short 25 minute drive from Woodstock & the wedding venue. If you stay here, eat at their restaurant Butterfield.

Graham and Co

This is an old style motel (with doors that open to the parking lot) that was renovated several years ago and given a modern facelift. It's a popular destination for hipsters from the city. The rooms are still very basic and utilitarian and a bit small, but they are clean and well kept. And the staff is very friendly. The motel is located in the town of Phoenicia which is about a 25 minute drive from Woodstock and our wedding venue. If you stay here, definitely eat breakfast at Phoenicia Diner nearby! And order something (anything) with smoked trout.
