Flight
Flying into BWI? MTA Commuter Bus 201 operates between Gaithersburg and BWI Marshall Airport [Concourses A (Southwest Airlines) and E (International terminal)]. The 201 stops at the Gaithersburg Park and Ride (2.3 miles from our house; at I-270 and MD 124 in Montgomery County), at the NIST front gate, and at the Shady Grove Metro. At the airport, the 201 bus drops off passengers on the upper level and picks them up on the lower level.
Train
Coming from DC (flying into DCA or Dulles), you can take the red line all the way out to shady grove. From here it's a 6-7 mile drive to the house (we can coordinate if you need a lift) or there are bus options direct to the hotel or a 1/2 mile walk from the house (see below).

This bus stops at Shady Grove Metro, right in front of the hotel (crown/rio), and half a mile from our house. From the metro, it's a 20 minute ride + a half mile walk. It runs every 35-40 minutes, last stop (Friday, ~11:20pm; Saturday, ~8:30pm)

Train
The extRa Lime Route operates Sunday through Saturday. During weekday peak rush hour periods, this route has service every 15 minutes. On weekends, it has service every 30 minutes. This is a quick connector bus between the metro (Shady Grove) and the hotel (Crown/Rio) : 7minute bus ride, non-stop, 0.3 mile walk.
