Seneca Creek State Park

You can walk to the lake from the backyard in a couple minutes (fishing is possible in the nooks/inlets) or drive into the park for small boat rental, the playgrounds, and different walking paths. Around the lake is about a 5k trip. Our house is the little red dot at the bottom right of the image.

Wonder Book

So many old books! and cds, vinyls, videos, cool old cards/drawings, etc. This place is great.

Taco Bar El Guero

If you're staying at the hotel, there is an excellent taco/burrito place that you can walk to in about 10-12 minutes.

Gemelli's Italian Market

Fresh cheeses, meats, pastas. Really good sandwiches.

Lancaster County Dutch Market

Inferno Pizzeria Napoletana

The MoCo suburbs described properly: "There’s one compelling reason to trek out to Darnestown... this “Neo-Neapolitan” pizza: the dough. outdoor pools, water park w/ a couple slides ++ a skate park. All found inside of Bohrer park, which offers a nice walk itself.

iFLY Indoor Skydiving- Montgomery

MVA - Gaithersburg

Walkable from the house but only open M-F. Great for waiting in line. Next door to the MARC train, in case you're riding up from DC on Friday afternoon.
