Catalina Express from Long Beach to Avalon is the best way to get to and from the island.
Catalina Island Company has a lot of great recommendations on their website!
Great way to see the entire island! There is a scenic tour road that gives you a self-guided view at the best overlook points.
See the bottom of the sea through the bottom of a boat as your explore the crystal clear water of Lover’s Cove Marine Preserve on one of Catalina’s original and longest-running tours. You’ll be mesmerized as you gaze into the deep at schools of colorful fish that enjoy watching you almost as much as you’ll enjoy watching them. Keep an eye out for sea creatures tucked into the rocks below.
Relax on private chaise lounges or in a cabana for 6! You have to reserve these in advance but they are well worth it! Private service and a great way to turn this wedding into a beach vacation.
Climb aboard an open-air biofuel Hummer for an exciting expedition through favorite grazing grounds of Catalina’s American Bison, which are descendants of a small herd brought over by a movie crew in the 1920s.
Originally built in 1892 as a three-hole course. Expanded to 9 holes in the early 1900s, and to an 18-hole course in 1929. After World War II in 1945, the course was brought back to its current 9-hole layout, boasting five Par 4s and four Par 3s. The long, narrow course meanders through a canyon setting toward the ocean, offering stunning views of Avalon Bay and Catalina Casino. The small greens and deep bunkers are enough to challenge any golfer. A driving net as well as a small practice putting area is available. Deer, hawks and island fox frequent the area.
