Sarah and David met during the final days of the 2000 high school year. They briefly dated for about a month, then went their separate ways. During the next 18 years, they were connected through social media, but never really had any communication with each other. In 2018, David tragically lost his best friend. Sarah reached out to him to offer comfort. Two months later, David wrote Sarah back to thank her for the support. After two weeks of exchanging messages and talking on the phone, they met up for coffee, and had what ended up being their first date on Halloween. Since then, David has become a strong positive influence to Sarah's two children, Cameron and Morgan (and even Sarah herself!), and an excellent role model. He even convinced Sarah to introduce a horse-sized dog, Bruce, into the family. And, no, he won't be at the wedding. Don't worry, they have pictures! Sarah has supported David with his masonry business, helped him develop a new appreciation for "fancy food" and minivans. Traveling, adventure, experiencing new things, places, food, and a lot of trial and error of creating a family together is what makes their relationship special. Even though it took a loss to bring them together, Sarah and David will forever keep his friend's memory alive; they feel it's proof there is love and hope in every situation. So here's to friendship, love, and the joy of togetherness.
