Are kids invited?
Answer
Kids are welcome at the ceremony, however the reception is adults only due to capacity constraints at the venue and so that everyone can relax and have a night off! Please let us know if you need help finding childcare for the evening. We would love to hang out with your kids at the Welcome Party on Friday as well!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If your invitation says "and guest" then you are welcome to bring a date. Please reach out to us to chat if you have a long-term significant other that we missed on the invitation.

Where should I stay in Newport?
Answer
We have secured room blocks at a few hotels in South Kingstown (~25 minutes from Newport) and Middletown (~15 minutes from Newport), which will likely be the most affordable options in the area. For those who would like to stay in Newport itself, there are a number of luxury hotels such as the Marriott, Hammet's, The Viking Hotel, The Chanler, a wide range of cozy bed and breakfasts, and larger airbnbs near the beach in Middletown (note most of these have 3 night minimums). We recommend avoiding hotels near Fort Adams (where Jazz Fest is held) such as Castle Hill Inn and Ocean Cliff.

Is there parking at the welcome party? ceremony? reception?

We have reserved a lot at 10 Washington Square (a 2 minute walk from Brick Alley Pub) from 6pm - 11pm on Friday evening for the rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Let them know you're with the Castle/Seitz wedding. Spaces may fill up Free, on-site parking is available at the ceremony and reception, however we recommend using the shuttle, public transportation, or Uber/Lyft if you plan to enjoy the open bar at the reception.

Will transportation be provided?

Shuttles will pick up at 3:30pm from the Sonesta Select and the Pell. A shuttle will also pick up at The Red Parrot Restaurant at 3:30pm for those staying in downtown Newport. Shuttles will be available for all guests from the ceremony to the reception, and then back to the room block hotels after the reception and after the after party.

What is the dress code?
Answer
The Welcome Party dress code is very casual - whatever you wore out to dinner, or even the clothes you wore on the plane will be great. The Ceremony and Reception are Black Tie Optional. Please wear a tuxedo if you have one available, but there is no need to buy or rent one on our behalf, a suit is great too. Floor or ankle length dresses are preferred.
