Connor and Amanda met officially in the spring of 2016. Despite going to the same high school (in different class years), they never knew each other until bumping into each other between classes at Grand Valley State University. Amanda describes the encounter saying "something felt different", whereas Connor states "I don't know, she seemed hot and cool." The two would go on to chat between classes every so often, mostly by chance here and there. They would really end up connecting at a party in a barn in the middle of nowhere. Some guy clinked Amanda's bottle with intention of making it foam up through the neck. It crashed to the floor, sending beer and glass everywhere. Connor swooped in from afar, quickly snatching a broom from a nearby wall. While cleaning up the mess around Amanda's shoes, he nudged her legs with the broom and said "watch out, I might just sweep you off your feet!" A few weeks later, they were officially dating. A year and some change (and a couple long distance stints) after that, they were both done with university and moving in together. After several months of living together in Grand Rapids, Michigan, they took an opportunity to move to San Diego, California. Since December 2018, Connor and Amanda have continued building their lives together in San Diego. Connor actively pursues stand up comedy while Amanda smartly furthers her professional career at the University of California San Diego and teaches yoga. Together, Connor and Amanda enjoy activities such as surfing, going to concerts, and exploring the beautiful golden coast. The two became fast friends and a close-knit pair. Their loving families and friends are some of the best that any couple could ask for, and they cannot WAIT to bring everybody together to celebrate their wedding day.
