Wellington State Park boasts the largest freshwater swimming beach in the New Hampshire State Park system. Hiking trails and picnic areas along the shore afford views of one of the deepest and clearest lakes in the state. The park maintains volleyball and horseshoe courts. The Snack Bar offers a variety of snacks, ice cream, cold drinks, beach and picnic items, and souvenirs. Gas grills are allowed along with wood and/or charcoal fires for cooking. Visitors can make a reservation online before arriving at the park as parking is limited (especially on nice weekends and holidays). Walk-in spaces are available for visitors on a first come/first-serve basis. Reservations can be made up to 30 days prior to arrival.
A little under an hour from the venue, Cardigan Mountain State Park is a 5,655-acre public recreation area in Orange, New Hampshire. The state park is free to use, open year-round, and offers a hiking trail up to the 3,121-foot treeless granite summit of Mount Cardigan plus places to picnic.
Craziest country store experience of our lives! They have the typical selections... magnets, mugs, tee shirts, gourmet cheeses, etc. But keep going out back and you'll discover air hockey, skeeball, full-size golf simulators, and a bar! There's also a petting zoo outside if feeding the goats gives you all the feels.
Good beer and a fun après ski vibe!
