We're getting married!

On a warm, sun-drenched day in late July, Matt and Cassi had their first date at Night Shift Brewery in Boston. Situated on the water, they sat outside and enjoyed the perfect summer afternoon, engrossed in conversations, building off each other’s tales with endless side stories and laughter. As the sun set, they realized they had spent four hours chatting away, and maybe they had found their person. They departed with Cassi giving Matt one of the firmest hugs he’s ever experienced. How did they meet? Matt and Cassi were set up by a professional matchmaking service Cassi was using and they reached out to Matt via Linkedin. Interestingly, Matt and Cassi both worked at Reebok (at different times) and attended Bentley University (also at different times) – Cassi for her undergraduate degree and Matt for his master’s. The dating service must have thought they would make a good pair and they were right! They connected at a timely moment because less than a month prior, Matt had signed a contract to be on the TV show “Married at First Sight,” but eventually backed out, realizing he was holding out for something a little more… real. Since then, Matt and Cassi have created countless memories with each other’s families and traveled to places like Punta Cana, Napa Valley, Virginia, and soon – Colombia (IYKYK!) They embody the mantra, “work hard, play hard,” always finding new ways to stay active and exploring new restaurants and watering holes. They regularly play tennis (good enough to keep the ball in play), golf (FORE!), and ping pong, spend time weightlifting, enjoy skiing on both snow and water, and even camp (yes, believe it or not, Matt camps!) They also love taking Callie out for jaunts in the woods, watching Cassi attempt to master cornhole (🤣), and mixing up new flavors of paleo ice cream in their Shoppe (which is just their kitchen.) Having found his true ‘partner in crime,’ Matt got down on one knee at a picturesque waterfront park filled with blooming cherry blossoms and the iconic Boston skyline in the background – the city where their journey began. Matt turned around to ensure the skyline was properly behind him for photo purposes (which it obviously still was) and then asked Cassi to marry him. In that beautiful spring moment, Cassi replied “Of course I will” with a heart full of love, as she also fell to her knees. We can't wait to spend our special day with you!

Theo is our beloved cat. He is 2.5 years old and a delight! His energy keeps us on our toes as he wants to play at all hours of the day! If he’s not batting at his favorite fish line toy (thank you, Dr. O’Brien…) he can be found cuddled up right between us at night, or being Matt’s assistant during the workday. (Matt keeps him on the team even though he often sleeps on the job and is late to meetings!) 😊 Theo’s spirit of energy, playfulness, unconditional love, and vivacity for life is our wedding inspiration – look for little “Theo’s” throughout our wedding details!
