FAQs

If you have any other questions than what we have listed here, please feel free to message Emily! (956)225-9085
Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

YES! We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up with us in Italy! So we are requesting that all of our guests dress in Formal attire for the Wedding & Semi-Formal for the Rehearsal Dinner. The ceremony will be taking place outside (weather permitting) & Italy can be chilly in the fall with highs of 65 in the day and lows of 45 at night.! So girls, bring stylish layers like a shawl/wrap, cardigan, or a faux fur stole. But don't worry because after the ceremony, we will be indoors!

Question

What if I don’t RSVP by July 7th?

Answer

We urge you to RSVP before the deadline! Otherwise we assume you will not be in attendance and marking you down as “No” and will be updating our vendors with the final guest count! To ensure you and everyone in your party is reserved a spot, please provide an accurate headcount by July 7th. Hope to see you there!

Question

When should we arrive in Lake Como?

Answer

The bride and groom are flying into Milan on October 3rd and heading to Lake Como. We plan to dedicate this time towards being present with any guests arriving early. Would love to meet you in Lake Como for pre wedding activities to explore Italy together!!! After the wedding, we will be departing off to our Rome until Oct 11 & then our honeymoon! Please ensure you are allowing yourself enough travel buffer time in case of any unexpected travel delays.

Question

What are the lodging arrangements?

Answer

Our suggested options are listed under the "Travel" tab. The ones listed on the website are the most convenient options such as the venue hotel or two other fabulous hotels that are walking distance from the venue! The rooms are first come first serve, so book them ASAP! However, guests are free to stay wherever they would like to and if you find an alternative option that you prefer and don't mind providing yourself transportation to the event, you are free to do so!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Unless specified on your formal invitation, we ask that you do not bring a guest to the event as we are planing on having an intimate wedding. We will only allocate seating arrangements for the guests who RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Children?

Answer

Children who are apart of the immediate family will automatically be receiving an invite and added to the seating chart. Our venue, Hotel Villa Giulia Al Terrazzo, does offer babysitting services that can be arranged prior to the event. We would love to have you kids-free and present to be able to enjoy yourselves to the fullest ability but understand that traveling across the world might make that difficult. If so, and you need some type of accommodation, please reach out to Emily as soon as you can to figure out logistics. Without inquiry, we assume you will be child free for the event!

Question

Transportation once in Italy?

Answer

My best piece of advice is to make your plan of action ahead of time when it comes to your preferred method of transportation. Renting a car might be your most reliable way to get around so that you do not run the risk of relying on infrequent ferry, taxis, buses, and trains. However, if you plan accordingly and are good with time management you may be able to get by just fine with using public transportation!

Question

Is parking available on site?

Answer

Yes! For my guests who are renting a car to explore Italy, there is free private parking at Hotel Villa Giulia Al Terrazzo.

Question

What time does the wedding start?

Answer

We are having welcome drinks at 3:30pm & the ceremony starts at 4:00 pm! We ask that all guests arrive no later than 3:45 pm. If you are late, you will be kindly asked by our team to not enter the ceremony space. Please wait and enter during cocktail hour!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We will be having hired professionals to take videos and photos during that time. We will be sending the gallery to everyone once we receive those back. Please refrain from taking videos and please NO PHONES IN THE AISLE! However, I wont be upset if you can DISCRETELY take a photo for a quick second and the professional cameras don't see you ;)
