Alan and Cassandra met online in October 2018. Alan messaged Cassandra first by sharing a joke: “What kind of music do rabbits listen to? Hip Hop”. After sharing many silly jokes, stories, and discussing life values for over 2 months, we finally decided to go on our first date on 12/30/2018 at Grace Street Cafe in K-Town, NYC. Cassandra was incredibly late to the first date thanks to train delays and a parking fiasco, but Alan patiently waited over 1 hour for her. Given the transit chaos, it is a miracle we met, but once we did, we had such a good time conversing while eating mango shaved ice, Korean food, and unique desserts at SPOT Dessert Bar, that it was difficult to say goodbye. Since then, no matter how long we have had to wait for each other, we have patiently done so, through COVID, military mobilizations and drills, all leading up to this day that we decided to get married. During the years, we have been able to share many wonderful memories between hiking, camping, playing tennis, skating, playing games with friends, exploring NJ and NYC, playing computer games, exercising at the gym, cooking, and traveling to Taiwan. We cannot wait to go on more adventures and spend the rest of our lives together!
