Maid of Honor
My first best friend- my momma. We share loves of many things- animals, cute clothes, music, dancing, and spending time together in general. We have been close since I was little, and it’s only fitting that she stand next to me on the special day. Mom loves her puppy Mavi, her cat Smokey, and her kids. She also works out like a beast and puts people to sleep for a living. One of my favorite pastimes is hiking and traveling with her and Cody.
Bridesmaid
I knew the first time we met suturing bananas 7 (7?!) years ago that we could be very close. Ania is more empathic than me, and people are almost bizarrely endeared to her everywhere we go. She is loyal and has a huge heart capable of loving many, including me, well. She’s always down for an adventure (usually initiated by me tbh)… including rescuing a dog (Princess!) from a literal ghetto and climbing fences to evade security (I’ll leave it at that).
Bridesmaid
I wanted to be friends with Brittany the minute I saw her in her pink polo with green alligators all over it my first day of boarding school at 14. She was moving people’s furniture into the dorms and seemed to be friends with everyone. She smiled broadly and took me under her wing (especially socially). Ever since, she is the friend who is persistently loyal— continuing to call or text to catch up, even when I don’t respond. My first image of her is a demonstration of her character- she is a workhorse with a passion for helping others, and she is literally friends with everyone. I am so grateful for her constancy over the last 15 years. (Also we literally never take photos cuz that’s how we are)
Bridesmaid
Kelsey is my nonchalantly modelesque friend- the one who looks like she has it all together but is refreshingly transparent about where she is not. We have lived in MN, NE, then CA together, hiking and coffee-shopping our way through life. She’s loyal, sensitive, and introspective, and is the person I can call out of the blue for a 3 hour conversation (and leave gaining insight). We called each other soul sisters about 12 years ago, and it’s still true today. I may also be a soul sister with her adorable pup Neil though…
Bridesmaid
Megs brings life wherever she goes. She has more energy than seems humanly possible, and prefers adventure or chaos to calm (ie, she’s an ER doc). When it’s just the two of us, there really aren’t any brakes, leading to some interesting pickles (and an appreciation for how life works out better without a plan). We’ve been lost in quite a few countries, made friends from many unsuspecting strangers, and danced harder than the teenagers at festivals and concerts. Megs is possibly the least judgmental person I’ve ever met, meaning she’s spent time with many people vastly different from her. Let’s just say she has a lot more hilarious stories (with hand gestures to match).

Groomsman
And Cassie’s brother! The Codemeist is legendary, classic, and irreproducible. Need to know the length of an obscure river in the Middle East? He’s your man. Have you heard of Millard Fillmore? He was a president (duh), and the last member of the Whig party. Cody told me (Cassie) this fact while in the backseat on a windy road in the mountains. He’s more than just his photographic memory though. He is loyal and sincere to the core, and he genuinely and specifically knows those he loves. Also, Roy and I are hoping to entice him to move to NC with us. Roy and Cody are oddly similar in specific ways (cough cough, contrarian), and Cassie would love to be able to live in the same place after 15ish years in separate states! He’s successful; he rocks a man bun; he’s single.
