Q & A

Question

What the F – aren't you already married?

Answer

We sure as hell are; however, we never got a chance to celebrate with our family and friends, so BUCKLE UP AND LEAVE YOUR BULLSHIT AT THE DOOR; IT'S GOING DOWN.

Question

Why are you sending out invites so early?

Answer

We wanted to make sure our family and friends had ample time to mark this down in their calendars, especially since everyone and their dog walker is getting married in 2021/2022. Several of our guests are not from Maine, and flights & accommodations to New England can get pricey. We completely understand if you can't attend, but if you do choose to join us, start tracking those flights so you can get a good deal! 💸✈️

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please head to the RSVP page to let us know which events you intend to attend so that we can get a better estimate. Proper RSVP with food selections will be sent in the next few months, with a deadline of no later than August 31, 2022. We will email reminders as the RSVP deadline approaches.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We ask that only those addressed in the invite attend.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids! However, we're trying our best to keep our party small-ish, plus the alcohol will be flowing. We ask that you keep the kids at home – it's your time to let loose! 🤙

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

You'll get to experience a quintessential New England autumn – crisp, clean air, and multi-colored trees and leaves. Expect a cool mid-60s, with a low of mid-50s in the evenings. The wedding reception will be indoors.

Question

Do I need a car? What's public transit like? Lyft/Uber?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a car. Public transit is pretty much non-existent in Maine outside of Greyhounds or Amtrak, and although Lyft and Uber exist, it's really hard to get one. Plus, with a car, you can easily explore everything New England has to offer! It's fairly easy to visit multiple neighboring towns and cities in a day (think polar opposite of driving in LA).

Question

Will there be transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Based on where a majority of our guests are staying, we intend to provide shuttle service to/from the wedding venue. Tentatively, the departure trip will pick up at 2pm at Anchorage Inn, stop at Microtel, then a final destination at Red Barn. There will be two return trips: first pickup 7:30pm and last at 9pm at Red Barn, stop at Microtel, stop at Anchorage Inn.

Question

What is the Covid-19 policy?

Answer

Although our venue does not require any masks, we ask that all of our guests be fully vaccinated, including any necessary boosters, by the time of our event. If you are not vaccinated, please reach out to us directly. You can stay up to date on Maine's Covid-19 guidelines here: https://www.maine.gov/covid19/keepmainehealthy/faqs
