FAQs

If you have any questions, please ask! (Bonus: It will help us compile this list of FAQs).
Question

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

The wedding reception is open to guests age 13 and above. While both of our families are full of children we love very much, we want the parents to be able to relax and enjoy the evening. We will have a kid's room separate from the reception for family members with young kids. We are also planning events surrounding the wedding that will be open to all ages (like the welcome dinner) so that we can have time to celebrate with the kids too. We may be able to help find babysitters on the Island, so let us know if you're looking.

Question

Is there a dress code or suggestions on attire?

Answer

The wedding will be semi-formal. Our primary guidance is that we don't recommend thin heels due to the cobblestone and grass outdoors. We also recommend an outer layer in case it gets chilly, but the reception will be indoors. We primarily want you to be comfortable for dancing the night away! P.S. Finn always gives bonus points for a bowtie and suspenders if that's your style.

Question

Will there be parking available at the wedding?

Answer

Yes, plenty of parking is available on site.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Nothing required, but we will have some options for activities surrounding the wedding. Check the schedule page for details as we get closer to August.

Question

What is Camp Beech Cliff?

Answer

It is the camp where we met! Finn practically grew up there and Casey joined the team in 2013. It is a beautiful summer day camp that also offers year-round outdoor education and programming. For more info visit https://www.campbeechcliff.org/. We're both pretty fond of it and are happy to talk more.

Question

Will the wedding be inside or outside? Do I need to worry about the weather?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting), as will the cocktail hour. Dinner and dancing will be inside. We do have an indoor ceremony location on site in case of rain. Maine evenings can get chilly, so it's never a bad idea to bring a jacket.
