Florence Griswold Museum
During the early years of the 20th century, the Lyme Art Colony, centered in Miss Florence Griswold's boardinghouse, became America's most famous summer art colony. Today this museum of art and history tells the story of how Connecticut played a pivotal role in fostering an authentic American art. The Book Barn
This quaint, meandering used book store is definitely worth a stop.
Black Hall Outfitters
Rent kayaks or go fishing with Black Hall Outfitters, right down the road in Old Lyme. Make sure to stop at AC Petersons for some ice cream after.

Walk along Griswold Point
The beach by the Old House is a great place to walk and swim. Feel free to park by the house and walk down the path to the beach.
Visit Mystic
There are many fun things to do in Mystic, like the Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium, and local breweries. If you want to explore the town, you can also rent a bike from Uncle Rick's bike shop, Mystic Cycles!
Visit Essex
Essex has a cute downtown with lots of shops and places to eat. You can take a ride on a historic steam train or river boat, or visit the Connecticut River Museum.
