Hobart is close by to the wedding venue and is known as "The Book Village." The tiny main street is filled with (mostly used) bookstores - six in fact, on one block. The ride there is beautiful, and the bookshops are eclectic and interesting. If you go, let us know what you find!
A great place to eat and drink on the way up to or down from our wedding. The beer is good, but the cauliflower wings are amazing. (Casey Sara recommends the miso parmesan wings, while Chagit prefers the Korean BBQ.) If you stop into the town of Phoenicia, which the brewery is just outside, you can find great Catskills toys and souvenirs and some amazing fudge for the road.
