We both swiped right on Tinder in January 2019. We quickly bonded over our mutual love for activism and went on our first date to Taste of Ethiopia. We spent hours talking about our passions, our families, and sharing jokes and stories. We then started talking every day and we’ve been close ever since. Coincidimos en Tinder en enero de 2019. Rápidamente nos unimos a nuestro amor mutuo por el activismo y fuimos en nuestra primera fecha a un restaurante Etiopían. We went out to dinner at Texas de Brazil. Just when I thought we were about to leave, the waitress brought out the banana foster that I mentioned to Joseph I wanted. The banana foster was centered inside strawberry sauce in the shape of a heart and that's when I saw the ring. On another plate said "Will you marry me?" I turned to look at Joseph and the next thing I know, he's down on one knee but he forgot his speech! Once the hugging and jumping settled, he told me such a beautiful speech. Fuimos a cenar a Texas de Brasil. Justo cuando pensé que estábamos a punto de salir, la camarera trajo el foster de plátano que le mencioné a Joseph que quería. El foster de plátano estaba centrado dentro de la salsa de fresa en forma de corazón y fue cuando vi el anillo. En otro plato dijo: "¿Me casarás conmigo?" Me volteé a mirar a Joseph y lo siguiente que sé, él está abajo en una rodilla pero se olvidó de su discurso! Despues del abrazar y saltar se calmaron, me dijo un discurso tan hermoso.
