The Maryland State House is the place where George Washington resigned as commander in chief of the Continental Army and where the Treaty of Paris was ratified.
The only Guinness brewery in North America, Open Gate has a fun outdoor beer garden, including lawn games, great pub food, and of course the beer that made it famous. While not directly in Annapolis, it is not far, and on the way from BWI if you are looking to stretch your legs and whet your whistle post- (or pre-) flight!
