Question

What about COVID?

Answer

At this time we are forging ahead as planned! It is important to us that everyone feel safe in attending the wedding. The ceremony and reception will both be outdoors. We will also have non-dance floor activities available for those that do not yet feel (or have never felt...) comfortable on a dance floor. We assume everyone will be vaccinated by the wedding. We are not requiring masks, but if it makes you more comfortable to wear one please feel free to do so. And for your own planning purposes, there will be approximately 90 guests at the wedding. We also completely understand if you do not yet feel safe traveling or in a group setting, and so will just plan to lift a glass with you some other time!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

For the crab feast, it is a summer casual dress code (and if you are partaking in crab, it can be messy). Clothing itself is required, but shorts, t-shirts, tank tops are all fine. The wedding is semi-formal attire. Think nice garden party -- summer suits, dark jackets & slacks, suits, etc., and cocktail dresses, nice sundresses, etc. Fascinators welcome :) All events are on grass, so please wear grass-friendly footwear.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking available at the venue. You are also welcome to leave your car overnight (no drinking and driving please!) as long as you pick it up before 11:30am the next day.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

If you are in town early, we will be having a crab feast at Hemlock Farm (our venue location) from 12-3 on Saturday, September 4. We will also have some non-crab bites available. This event is casual (and if you are eating crab, it may be quite messy), so please wear whatever makes you comfortable. Please RSVP if you think you'll be attending so we can get a rough head count, but you are welcome to drop by any time in that window. The after party will also be at our same venue location!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

The wedding itself is a 21+ event. However, kids are certainly welcome at the crab feast on Saturday the 4th!

Question

Do you know any good babysitters in the area?

Answer

You can find plenty of available babysitters in the area using sites like Care.com and BabysitterBoutique.com (Annapolis-based). These sites allow you to filter by location (for your reference, zip code is 21411) and experience, and have plenty of reviews on each sitter for you to read!

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

We encourage everyone to use shared transportation. No drinking and driving! To assist in your travels, every guest can take advantage of up to $25 of Lyft credit per guest by using code CARYSANDDAN2021. Just enter the code in the "Rewards" section of the Lyft app to redeem the credit. Note: Event code is limited to one redemption per person and code will only work if ride is to or from the venue, 31 Old South River Road, Edgewater, MD.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4pm. Please arrive a couple minutes early so that we can start on time.

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes, #DonnellyWeddingGoles
