Best Man
Timothy has been my best friend for as long as I've known what a best friend is. He grew up right next to me in Valier and has been through pretty much every step of life with me. Tim's been a big brother, a role model, and now my best man. He was one year ahead of me growing up, and when I started high school, he assimilated me into his friend group. Four years went by and when it was time for me to start college, he did the same thing. No matter what stage of life I've been in, I always have counted on him and he's never let me down. I couldn't imagine getting married without him there next to me.
Peyton Cole
Maid of Honor
I have known Peyton since pre-school and have been friends pretty much since then. We grew up on the same street always riding bikes around the streets of Chester like hooligans. We really cultivated our friendship as we started middle school and became best friends. Once we graduated high school, our fun didn't stop. Peyton lived with Carter in Missoula and I would visit from Kalispell every weekend. We have gone on countless adventures and no matter how far we live from each other we always pick up right back where we left off. I know I can have authentic, open, and honest conversations with her. She allows me to be vulnerable without judgment. She has been a sister and I wouldn't want anyone else up there standing next to me.
Darby Lunda

Growing up three grades ahead of Darby, I wish I could talk about how I always tried to mentor him and be a cool, older kid he could look up to. The truth is, though, that Darby is the one that has provided me with the best book recommendations, the best conversations about hip-hop music, and an ever-constant friend no matter the circumstance. When I moved away from Valier for college, Darby and I texted every day for at least the first semester. Yes, partially to keep an impressive Snapchat streak alive, but mostly because he's a person I never wanted to grow away from and it was important to me we always stayed in touch. I'm so glad we did because we've had even more fun in life since those days.
Jordan Stokes

I have known Jordan since high school. We used to play sports against each other. Our friendship didn't really start until she moved into a 4 bedroom house with Carter, Peyton, and Tamara in 2016. It didn't take long before we became best friends and have been ever since. Carter's best man, Timothy, and her started dating and now are married! It is funny how things become full circle. I am so lucky to have her as a best friend because she funny, fiery, and down to earth. We can laugh our heads off or cry together, she will always be there and is a ride or die.
Jeb Lunda

The best way I can describe Jeb and our friendship is through a story. One night driving home to Valier while we were in high school, Haley and I blew a tire. This was probably 11 pm in the middle of January. Being me, I call Jeb, wake him up, and ask him to come save us. He was there in 20 minutes tops and rescued us. Now, he only brings up that night to give me shit about how my nose was dripping snot while I was standing out there freezing. He's the guy I know I can always count on if I'm in trouble, and also to have me crying laughing after seeing him for 15 minutes. He's been one of my best friends from Kindergarten, to our dorm room in Miller Hall, and I don't think I could have made it through it all without him.
Carly Fessler

Carly is Carter's older sister and I am excited to have a new sister! Carly reminds me of Carter a lot in the best ways- both with their sense of humor and sarcasm. She is one of the most thoughtful and empathetic people I know. Carly has helped me feel like I am apart of the family regardless of what side and I am happy to apart of it. As Carter and I grew up and got older, I became closer with Carly. She is always on the hunt for a brewery like I am! We can bullshit, talk beer, and laugh. I am also excited to have a dog nephew- Archie. I am excited for all the new memories we will make.
Keegan Widhalm

I've known Keegan just about my entire life. One thing about growing up with someone like him is that you never stop learning things. Whether that was who every single president was when were in grade school, who every WWE wrestler was when we were in middle school, or the answers to every single homework question in high school. Hanging out with Keegan is always the best because he can tell you about calculus class one second, then riff off lines from Step Brothers for 10 minutes with you the next. He used to take me to lunch just about every single day of high school, we got to experience college together and now that he's off in Butte, Missoula is missing something. Fortunately, Keegan is that awesome type of friend that when I see him, it's like no time has passed at all.
Tamara Roos

Tamara and I have known each other since high school, but we didn't become best friends until she moved in with Carter into a house in 2016. It also didn't take long for us to become fast best friends, but I knew we made a lifelong friendship. We have continued our debauchery in Missoula. We have taken countless float trips that lead us in interesting adventures. She is determined and good at anything she puts her mind too. I always appreciate our talks of various pop culture, movies, TVs, crafts, books, alcohol, really anything. She is one of the most supportive friends to have and I am grateful and lucky to have her.
Ryan Clark

Ryan grew up not too far away from Valier in Shelby, but we really became buddies in college. During that time, I quickly realized how easy it is to have fun around Ryan. Whether we were working together in the press box at Osprey games, going to Griz games, or playing golf, it's impossible not to have fun hanging out with Ryan. He's the type of person that lives 100% of his life. The most impressive part is his being able to live this way while also going to grad school and working with the Griz basketball team. He's the type of person that takes risks and chances that most people are too afraid to, and he pursues all things in life tenaciously. It wouldn't be a party without him.
