His side of the story:
I first tried to ask Haley to go out over Snapchat. I think that's hilarious and shows how much of a dumb kid I was when we first met. I hope to be a little less dumb now, but we certainly have had the chance to grow up together in the 9 years we've spent with each other. She immediately amazed me with her energy and her wonderful, relentless stubbornness to do her best at everything. I can't explain how lucky I feel to spend forever with her.
Her side of the story: When I first saw Carter playing high-school basketball in 2013, I knew I had to get his number, but he had a girlfriend. I let it go the 1st time. Fast forward another year (2014), I saw Carter playing again and I couldn't let him go a 2nd time. There was a gravity to Carter that I couldn't ignore and it pulled me right in. We quickly fell in love, and we said I love you after the 1st month like dumb high-school kid love. But that love was real and my love for Carter has only grown bigger since then.
