While attending the University of Central Florida in 2013, Alexa and Joseph frequented the same areas; the Reflection Pond, UCF football games, and local restaurants. They ended up meeting while working together in 2015 at the happiest place on earth... Steak N' Shake.

After almost 3 years of early morning shifts, friendship, heartache, and self-discovery; Joseph asked Alexa on their first date. The night consisted of swing dancing, ice cream and "Friends". It was the best first date they had both ever been on. They bonded over music, family and faith. On July 1, 2017, Joseph asked Alexa to be his girlfriend.

What Alexa thought was going to be a normal day at Disney, turned into the happiest day ever. They had planned to have a couples photoshoot done on Disney property with Joseph's sister, whom is a talented photographer. After spending the morning in Epcot, the couple headed over to the beach front of the Yacht and Beach Club Resort. The gears that had been prepared for months were finally in motion. The family had already hidden themselves when Alexa and Joseph arrived at the beach front for pictures. The two had a wonderful set of pictures taken before Joseph prepared to ask the question. With the families revealed and the sun setting Joseph confessed how he wanted to be able to say, “Good Morning, I Love You,” everyday for the rest of their lives. He went down on one knee and Alexa said yes.
