Hey look! It’s the woman I’m marrying! Carolyn is the most kind, caring, talented, and beautiful soul you’ll ever meet. She's quite literally a rock star - former front lady for a band and award-winning actor who's graced the stage at the Kennedy Center, La Jolla Playhouse, Ford's Theatre, and many more. She's a die hard Philadelphia Eagles fan, a West Wing savant, and quite possibly Bruce Springsteen's #1 fan. Carolyn loves animals of all kinds (especially our cat Roux, capybaras, and alpacas), magic, board games, hiking, gerbera daisies (obviously!), wine, most cheeses, dark beer, potatoes of all kinds, her Honda Fit (named Eleanor), and (albeit she refuses to admit this) Adrian's puns. FUN FACT: Carolyn knows fun facts of all kinds and will most certainly beat you in trivia. Seriously, she used to run trivia leagues!

Hey look! It's the man I'm marrying! Many of you know and love him already, but if you don't yet - you will. The goofiest nerd with the punniest dad joke sense of humor. Adrian has the largest heart that he spreads far and wide, somehow keeps up with literally everyone he's ever met, is fiercely loyal and protective, and has nailed a bucket in every NBA arena. He is always up for whatever adventure I throw at him - as long as he can take a nap first. Loving cat dad, wine and cocktail connoisseur, and the yearbook photographer of our lives (seriously none of the photos on this site are because of Carolyn.) FUN FACT: Adrian listens to his podcasts at 1.4x speed very specifically. Carolyn cannot fathom this but he tolerates her slow pods. KARAOKE GO TO SONG: Vanessa Carlton - A Thousand Miles

Carolyn's big sister. Smartest person I know with the lowest sense of humor. My first phone call when I have a big decision to make, need someone to laugh with me, or want to ensure I haven't lost my mind (I usually have). Will never let you take a bad picture or have food in your teeth very long. The life of any karaoke party. We forgive her poor choice of sports fandoms.

Adrian’s nephew and Godson. A Jedi Padawan since birth, Isaac has been Adrian’s partner-in-crime at several Star Wars Celebrations, even more wrestling events, and EVEN MORE New York Comic Cons. The two are always down for some cosplay and have starred in several spoof movies. Now Isaac faces his next challenge: not misplacing the ring.

Carolyn met Teresa once before moving to San Diego in 2015 and somehow still convinced her to be friends. The other 1/3 of the Board of Directors of Carolyn's life. The most thoughtful present giver, snappiest sarcastic wit, and low-key fashionista. She hates attention so don't tell her how great she is unless you're going to give her a perfect photo angle in exchange.

Adrian and Vin met in junior high school and have been best friends ever since. The two have many inside jokes together, have gone to about 10 Korn concerts together, share an affinity for 90s and early 2000s gangsta rap, and have a mutual love of basketball and Star Wars. They have a secret handshake, were also roommates once, and both are Nets, NBA, Hoop 1, and Marriott alums. Not only was Adrian his best man, but he also was his wedding officiant - and his teammate in the 2010 Beer Pong Championship in Atlantic City.

Trauma bonded through their mutual 'just get it done' attitude while working together from 2018 - 2022. 1/3 of the brain trust that actually runs Carolyn's life and decisions. Jo will give you the best hug, tell it to you straight, never let you puke alone, and always knows breaking news updates 2 hours before any major news outlet does. She never met a baseball hat she can't rock.
Joe

One of Adrian's best friends, one of his oldest friends, and his "good" friend. They first met at a science fair in 2001 when Adrian stole part of his project. Through their formative years, they bonded over their mutual love of basketball (Joe is a sad Knicks fan), Star Wars, Friends (and a love of barcaloungers), basketball cards, empty Die Hard DVD boxes, and so many TV shows - including Lost, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul but excluding The Bear! Adrian and Joe have gone on two cross country road trips together (in 2013 and 2023). They were roommates twice-ish and also crashed on each other's couches for a significant amount of time. When you see Joe at the wedding, please ask him about his favorite New Orleans vending machines.

Another person who Carolyn just kind of got dropped in their lap (sensing a pattern here?) when she agreed to let me live in her basement in 2018. Somehow both the planner of all great events and the life of the party. Never leaves a man behind, always has a wild story to share, and can hold her tequila better than is fathomable for someone of her stature.
Ian

Adrian first met Ian on his first day while interning for Hillary Clinton’s first presidential campaign. In fact, Ian may or may not have assigned Adrian to book travel for the 2008 Iowa caucus - thus starting (?) a love affair (??) for Adrian of booking travel for presidential candidates. Through the years, the two of them have helped each other on political campaigns across the country, Adrian was Ian's best man, and the two were even neighbors once. Sadly, Ian has never won Adrian's fantasy basketball league.

When one is blessed with a bonus sister, you can't get much better than this one! Ever the optimist, one of the toughest people I've ever met, the loudest laugh and the best smile. A no-nonsense caretaker who forgives my habit of adopting strays as long as it's followed by shots. And to answer your question - yes - her hair is 100% real and no - no one thinks that's fair.
Brandon

Brandon and Adrian first met at a Biden for President debate watch party (yikes) in 2019 - they quickly bonded over JR Smith of all things. Several months later, when Adrian was responsible for saving the Biden campaign money - he suggested sharing a house with Brandon in Iowa. Brandon reluctantly agreed but what transpired was delightful - they became close friends, almost burned a house down (thank you, steak), and (temporarily) restored the soul of the nation. Part of the COVID Philly crew, they lived in the same building in Philly, and now both live in Cleveland. Brandon and Adrian have gone to many wrestling events together and regularly share inappropriate memes with one another.

Adrian’s big sister. His very first friend and his very first roommate! Being six years apart, they didn’t have the same friend groups but they really bonded over Mario Party. Once, Adrian faked an injury in order to get her in trouble - it worked! In their old age, the two now bond over sushi, cheap wine, and the occasional apple martini (Cristina’s favorite). Cristina has given Adrian FOUR nephews!

Adrian and Angel met on a Philadelphia rooftop in the summer of 2019. It was a time full of wonder and non-COVID air. Neither one of them knew anyone there, but quickly sparked conversation about the newest Spider-Man film. Fast forward six years - and the two of them have gone to several NY Comic Cons (with wine-concealing backpacks in tow), many wrestling events, and always keep each other updated on their trading card hobbies.

Carolyn's big brother. He has an annoying good memory (minus that one time he lost it for a few days), can play any instrument and harmonize to any song, and has the movie quote to match any situation. Curious, inquisitive, and tolerant enough to let his little sister curl his hair. Immediately bonded with Adrian over their mutual love of Star Wars and shared sense of humor.
