What started as a simple, fun date turned into one of the most unforgettable days of our lives. Riley told Caroline his dad had won raffle tickets to high tea at Miramont Castle in Manitou Springs, CO — and honestly, fancy snacks in a castle? We were in. Riley suggested we dress up for the occasion, which made it feel even more fun and special. On the day of, there was a small hiccup involving “missing” car keys… which later turned out to be in Caroline’s coat pocket the whole time (classic). Once we arrived, everything felt magical. We wandered through the museum, laughed a lot, and soaked in the charm of the castle. At the top floor, Caroline walked into a sunlit solarium with a giant Christmas tree — and while she was admiring it, Riley quietly pulled the ring out of his sock (yes, his sock), dropped to one knee, and asked her to marry him. After taking a few photos and soaking in the moment, we went downstairs to find some of our family waiting to celebrate with us. It was truly the most special day.
