Things To Do

We are excited to share a few of our favorite DC recommendations with you. We have fond memories of our time living in the city and hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Jazz in the Garden

Constitution Ave NW &, 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20408

The Sculpture Garden offers free jazz performances at its outdoor café every Friday in the summer. Visitors can lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy sangria while listening to live music. Free reservations are required in advance.

National Zoo

3001 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20008

We used to live next to this fun and free activity in DC's Rock Creek Park. The Smithsonian’s National Zoo is home to more than 2,700 animals, including pandas, elephants, lions, and tigers. Admission is FREE!

Eastern Market

225 7th St SE, Washington, DC 20003

Located in the heart of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, Eastern Market is DC’s destination for fresh food, community events, and on weekends, local farm-fresh produce and handmade arts and crafts.

14th & U St. Corridor

14th & U Street Corridor was one of our go-to areas for restaurants and bars. Some of our favorite spots include Le Diplomate, Slipstream, Tico (for all you can eat brunch), and Chicken & Whiskey.

Adams Morgan

We used to live near Adams Morgan and it's a neighborhood that is very near and dear to us. Our favorite spots include The Green Zone (our favorite cocktail bar in the city), Keren, Potter's House, Lucky Buns, and Lapis. In nice weather, we would also recommend picking up food from one of the nearby restaurants and having a picnic in Kalorama Park!

Board Room

1737 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20009

For our friends who enjoy board games as much as we do, this is the spot for you! Grab a drink and rent a board game for $2 at this laidback Dupont Circle bar.
