While we love all the little ones of our friends and family, we have opted for a child-free wedding. We kindly ask that all kids under the age of 12 stay home. We hope that you can understand our wishes and look forward to celebrating with you all on our special day.
We have worked hard to make a guest list of our nearest and dearest. Due to this, we can only offer invitations to those listed on the official invites. If you feel strongly about someone you would like to add to our list or someone we have overlooked, please feel free to reach out to either of us!
All of you should have received an electronic save the date already! If you haven't, please check your spam folders. If it's still not there, fear not! Our final wedding invites will be send out by the end of July. Please keep an eye on your mailboxes for them as they will be physical invites! RSVP must be sent back NO LATER than September 13th.
Our dinner will be a family style affair! This means that all the dishes will be shared by the table. Think of it as a buffet, but only for you and your table mates! We hope that this will allow our guests to feel more comfortable eating only the things they want, (but trust us, don't skimp on the veggies). Vegetarian entrees will be the ONLY DISH made specially for the individual. This is why we ask you to let us know on the RSVP if that is something you need.
Yes! We have decided that our wedding will be cocktail attire. What is cocktail attire? So glad you asked! If you have questions, here is a helpful website to look over for ideas. https://www.theknot.com/content/wedding-guest-attire-cheat-sheet#cocktail-attire
There are a few different airports that are close to our venue. We recommend flying into either Harford (Bradley international airport) or Providence airports. The other options include any New York based airports.
Due to limited parking spaces we have prepared for all guests to arrive by train! With this in mind, we ask that you please try your best to be on time for the train departure so we can reserve the limited parking spaces for vendors and bridal party members. There will be a shuttle leaving the Quality Inn Old Saybrook at 2:30pm the day of and making a total of two trips. The same shuttle will be waiting at the train station at the end of the night to shuttle people back to the hotel.
Yes, it's true! All guests will be arriving by train! We have arranged for all guests to be picked up by a bonified Essex Steam Train and delivered to and from the venue. Please make sure you arrive at the Essex Train Station NO LATER than 3:15pm on Friday the 18th. The train will depart promptly at 3:30pm. The Train ride will include a 40 minute scenic tour before dropping everyone off at the venue door. At the end of the night, the train will depart the Lace Factory at 10:00pm and return you to the train Station.
For most guests our ceremony and reception on Friday the 18th are the only things you have to worry about. For our bridal party and immediate family members we will be have a very small rehearsal dinner the day before (Thursday the 17th). For the rest of our family and friends who are in town Thursday, we will be meeting up for a quick hello drink at the Little Pub in Old Saybrook. The morning after the ceremony (Saturday the 19th), we are planning on having a very informal brunch at a to be decided location. Anyone is welcome to stop by and say goodbye if they're still in the area. This is of course completely optional. Please refer to our Schedule tab on the website for more information.
Yes we are! We have two registries, (one with Amazon and one with Zola) and a honeyfund! Please refer to the Registry tab for more information.
