Question

Wait, weren't you guys having a big party in LA earlier?

Answer

Luis: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Caroline: Yes, that was the plan earlier. Unfortunately we got coronavirus'd. We won't be rescheduling the party and will just be having a small private ceremony in 2021, but hope to schedule smaller celebrations with everyone later. The rest of the questions will address the private ceremony in 2021 -- so if you're attending the private ceremony, read on!

Question

Oh bummer! Okay, for the private ceremony in 2021, then. What's the dress code?

Answer

Luis: Yes, it's the new sequel to The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, soon to be a major motion picture by Imagine Entertainment, executive produced by Ron Howard and Brian Grazer, starring Tom Hanks and interchangeable brunette. Caroline: Harmony is a very eclectic location, so don't feel the need to dress too formally -- it's a place where tuxes and tails would be way over the top. Semiformal/dressy casual/cocktail attire is encouraged!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Luis: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Caroline: No later than October 15th, 2021, please!

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Luis: Yes. To vote. In LA. Caroline: If you go to the "Registry" tab, you'll see what we're registered for here on Zola.

Question

Can I bring a date to the party?

Answer

Luis: I dunno, can you?? Caroline: If your invitation lists "guest" then sure! If not, we have extremely limited space at the venue, unfortunately, so we cannot accommodate anyone who's not on the invitation. Sorry!

Question

Are kids welcome at the party?

Answer

Luis: No. Caroline: No, sorry. The venue is very small and we can't accommodate anyone not on the invitation.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Luis: You should leave a tip for your housekeepers at a hotel each day you're staying there, since it's good karma. Caroline: We have a block of rooms reserved for guests of the party at the Madonna Inn, which is about 30 minutes from the venue. More info on how to book is on the "Travel" page. The Madonna Inn is an extremely unique hotel with individual themed rooms, so we encourage you to take a look on their website to see which one you are interested in and book early as the more popular rooms book up more than a year in advance! (Also, if you book a room there, please tell us which room you book. Hearing which room everyone picks is *almost* as exciting to us as the wedding.)

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Luis: I dunno, can you?? Caroline: Our reception after the event will just be cake and champagne/sparkling apple juice. We will be having a post-wedding dinner at SLO Brew Gatherings in San Luis Obispo. It will be buffet-style with plenty of different dietary options and an open bar. More info is on the Events page.

Question

Can we post pictures/videos on social media?

Answer

Luis: *blocks his face and hides* Caroline: We'd prefer not to post pictures/videos on social media. That said, we'll be creating a shared album that you're welcome to upload your photos to and we'll do the same!

For all the days along the way
