Jacy and Carolin met in 2002 while studying abroad in London. Despite having not lived in the same city since 2002, the two have been very close and often travel the world together. Their last trip was in August when they met in Holland for a friend's wedding.
Amy Richter
Best Woman
Amy and Jeff met in 2004 while both were students at UWM's Center for Celtic Studies and starting to play Irish music in Milwaukee. Together they co-founded the band Athas along with Heather Lewin, and have been playing music while keeping each other sane since.
Erin McIntire

Erin and Carolin met in 1998 at ages 5 and 19, when Carolin's father married Erin's grandmother. Early on they would hang out on family trips and have fun together. They quickly grew close and were not only step-aunt and niece, but friends too.
Karen Sprafke
Groomswoman
Karen and Jeff met during their undergrad experience at Cornell College back in 1995. They performed together in Cornell's jazz band for a number of years, and Karen has been Jeff's supplier for quality ska and punk. Although Karen's lived in Colorado for a number of years, Jeff still counts her among his best and closest friends.

Jeff met Andrew through Carolin, who met Andrew during her grad school days at UWM's School of Information Science (along with Andrew's partner in crime, Mary Johnston). Jeff's pretty sure that Andrew would approve of his all Sun Ra Arkestra and Rahsaan Roland Kirk wedding playlist.
