7:00 pm
Please join us for fresh seafood at what Carmen believes is the best restaurant in Cape Town. We’ll be pre-booking a table, so please RSVP if you’d like to join. Food and drinks will be at your own expense.
10:00 am
Join us for a hike up Lion’s Head, one of Cape Town’s most iconic trails, with incredible views of the city, Table Mountain, and the Atlantic Ocean. The hike typically takes around an hour to the top at a relaxed pace. There are beautiful views to enjoy at the peak and plenty of photo opportunities before a steady walk back down. While it’s a popular route, parts of the trail are steep so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility, a fear of heights or younger children. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes, water, and sun cream!
12:30 pm
Join us for a relaxed beach day at Clifton 4th Beach. Bring a towel, some snacks, and come spend the afternoon by the ocean with us. Sun loungers and umbrellas are usually available to rent if you'd prefer not to bring your own. Alcohol is not permitted on the beach, so plan your picnic accordingly. A helpful tip: Uber or taxis are often the easiest way to get there as parking in Clifton can be tricky, especially on Sundays. Feel free to drop by for as long as you'd like, we’ll be there until about 17:00.
10:00 am
Join us for a day exploring the Franschhoek Winelands on the Wine Tram. We did the tour on our first trip to Cape Town together - we loved it so much we decided to get married here. Guests will need to please purchase their own Wine Tram ticket in advance. We’ll share the link, along with the route we’re planning to take and the departure time. Tastings and lunch can be enjoyed along the way and are paid directly at the wine estates. The experience usually lasts around 5–6 hours and is hop-on, hop-off, so you can explore at your own pace. Children are welcome, although wine tastings are of course only available to guests aged 18 and over. We’re planning to arrange group transport from Cape Town to Franschhoek (pick-up location in Sea Point – exact details TBC) for anyone who would like to travel together. If you'd like to join the transport, we’ll share the cost per person once numbers are confirmed.
2:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The day before the big day, please join us for a traditional South African braai (BBQ). We’ll be hosting a relaxed afternoon for everyone to spend time together ahead of the wedding. The braai will start from 2pm, food will be provided and there'll be an initial bar tab on us (so get there on time), with drinks available to purchase later on. There’s also a pool, so feel free to bring swimwear if you'd like to take a dip.
