Things To Do

Reuben's Brews

5010 14th Avenue Northwest, Seattle, WA 98107
, (206) 784-2859

Great starting (or ending) point for a Ballard brewery tour. You can walk, bike or crawl to several micro breweries in Ballard - we'd highly recommend a day of beer tasting if you enjoy craft beer!

Alki Beach

Seattle, WA

Enjoy the beach, a stunning view of the Seattle skyline, and the best fish-and-chips the city has to offer. This is a great place to spend a sunny fall day, you can bike/roller blade/walk along the water, eat ice cream, play in the sand, etc.

Discovery Park

3801 Discovery Park Blvd, Seattle, WA 98199
, (206) 386-4236

This is a perfect taste of the Seattle outdoor scene without leaving the city. Amazing views of the water, great hiking trails, and a lighthouse!

Mount Pilchuck Trailhead

National Forest Development Road 4200, Granite Falls, WA 98252
, (360) 436-1155

One of our all-time-favorite hikes in the area, this trail is not for the faint of heart, but not too technical for a solid pair of tennis shoes. If you're looking for a good workout, a great view at the top, and a classic Northwest Hike, this one is recommended.

Rattlesnake Ridge

WA 98045

For those looking for a slightly less-intense hike, much closer to the city, Rattlesnake Ridge is a great option!

Pike Place Market

Seattle, WA

A classic Seattle tourist destination, the market is a must-see. Though touristy, it's a fully-functioning market, normal people do still buy their groceries there, the market is historical and vibrant, and there is good food and drink everywhere you turn. Carlye LOVES The Ghost Tour, but the Seattle Underground Tour is awesome as well. Don't miss the gum wall!

Museum of Pop Culture

325 5th Avenue North, Seattle, WA 98109
, (206) 770-2700

A fun day trip (especially if it's raining!). MoPop has a little something for everyone, and is so Seattle.

Smith Tower Observatory Bar

506 2nd Avenue, 35 FL, Seattle, WA 98104
, (206) 624-0414

Matt proposed here, so we might be a little biased, but Smith Tower is a great way to see the city from above. Less expensive and less crowded than the needle, Smith Tower has an affordable bar/restaurant at the top, cool decor inside and a great view of the city.

Woodinville

Woodinville, WA

If you are looking for Washington wine, Woodinville is a fun place to visit. There are hundreds of wineries to visit, a few breweries and even some distilleries. Matt and I like to bike (or kayak!) from Seattle's Eastside to wine country, but a drive is also nice.

For all the days along the way
