As all good stories go, it started at a pub. Matt, enchanted by Carlye's Irish dancing, took a chance on approaching her. Charmed, Carlye impressed the Texan groom with her Seattle style. Accompanied by two good-sports, the couple hit it off over a pint or two, Irish tunes, and goldfish crackers. Matt found the nerve to ask for the elusive phone number, and they never looked back.
Matt's super secret plan of proposing at a specific local landmark landed conveniently, as Carlye unknowingly suggested celebrating their pending future together with a fancy lunch atop Seattle's first skyscraper, Smith Tower. Amidst the throngs of senior tourists-turned-ad-hoc-wedding-proposal-photographers, Matt got down on one knee as Carlye sat on the Wishing Chair, and popped the question. Throughout many tears, the groom was fairly sure she said Yes at some point. There were hugs and champagne and the rest is history...
Despite a 6 day engagement, the wedding fell serendipitously into place. With the help of multiple family members, a few close friends, and cupcakes, Carlye and Matt were married at the beach in Carlye's home town of Olympia. The couple was married in front of a majestic Pacific Madrone tree - the ceremony was everything they wished for - they couldn't have planned it better.
