So there they were, on the precipice of a pandemic and (doom)scrolling through Hinge, a modern day dating application on internet dot com. With a few swipes, a few clicks, these mountainous lovebirds finally matched. Carly, ever the flirtatious linguistic juggernaut, sent a message to Paddy: "Hi!" Paddy had never experienced such exhilaration or originality in communication. He was instantly hooked. After texts and phone calls, the pair decided to go on their very first date, which was a socially distanced dog walk. As was their second date. Carly and Paddy walked and talked for hours, miles of conversation and connection. And both dates ended with Paddy walking Carly to her door...and then awkwardly waving goodbye from 6-feet away (give him a break, folks, it was his first pandemic). But on their third date, a picnic dinner on the bank of the Roaring Fork River, they smooched, they smooched long and hard. Rumor has it a double rainbow burst through the clouds and every timepiece in Carbondale, CO, froze to read "make-out o'clock." And since, they've never looked back. Carly and Paddy fell in love amongst the mountains, trails, and rivers of the Roaring Fork Valley, built a loving partnership, and made a home together. Their adventures in skiing, running, biking, and camping have seen them travel all over the Mountain West, and even to Iowa and Wisconsin with a side of Chicago. And while those adventures are a cornerstone of their relationship, nothing compares to the shared excitement of their nuptials, their greatest and grandest adventure yet. Carly and Paddy were asked to comment on their forthcoming wedding but were too busy staring deeply into each others eyes. In fact, chances are good that they are smoochin' right now, because they plan to continue to smooch forever and ever and ever.
