Adirondack Balloon Festival
Our wedding weekend happens to be Balloon Festival weekend! If you're not from the area, the last weekend in September brings hundreds of hot air balloons and vendors to Glens Falls...it's genuinely the best time of year! Balloon Fest has always been a special time for me and Josh, and we encourage you to participate in a launch while you're visiting
Pilot Knob Hike
Right before you reach our wedding venue, Camp Chingachgook, there is a popular hike: Pilot Knob. This hike is short and good for most skill levels, but does have a few steep moments. The hike is worth it when you reach the top because their is a beautiful gazebo at the summit where you can look right out over the lake. It's one of our favorite sunset hikes to do as a family! We recommend downloading the AllTrails app to help you with any of your hiking excursions!
Lake George Steamboats
If you've never taken a cruise on Lake George- this is a must! The historic boats of the Lake George Steamboat Company offer a variety of voyages onto the lake. Most cruise last for an hour or so, but it's the best way to see the lake! (Our favorite is the Minne Ha-Ha)
