Question

Where is the venue?

Answer

Camp Chingachgook is located right on Lake George, near the Pilot Knob and Buck Mountain trailheads. There is one road that leads to the venue, so as long as you get on Pilot Knob Road, you can't miss it!

Question

Where can we park?

Answer

Camp Chingachgook is a YMCA summer camp, and you will see a sign on the right-hand side of the road for the main building of the camp- this is where you want to park! The wedding festivities are located across the street near the water, so there will be a short walk from the parking area. If someone in your vehicle is unable to make the walk, they can be dropped closer to the pavilion prior to parking. There will also be a golf cart going between the parking lot and pavilion before the ceremony if you need assistance getting across the street!

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal, but be comfortable! This is an outdoor wedding, so be prepared for anything! We recommend comfortable shoes, as there will be some walking on unpaved grounds. After the sun sets it might get chilly so definitely bring a jacket or sweater to keep warm. Your comfort is important to us, so if you need to decide between a fancy or practical option- go practical! We do ask for no jeans or white, please!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM! The ceremony and reception location are a few minutes walk from the parking lot, so please arrive early with enough time to make your way to the festivities.

Question

Can we take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Our wedding will include an unplugged ceremony- meaning, we ask that our guests please refrain from taking pictures and video until after the ceremony has concluded. We want our friends and family to sit back and be present during one of the most important moments of our lives! Luckily, we have found our dream photographer and videographer, so we trust that our team will capture all of the special moments for us!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your kids, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Additionally, our venue is non-traditional, and is not set up to accommodate small children. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so you can celebrate with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unfortunately, we have had to make a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is by invitation only, and we will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation!

Question

Do you have a hotel block? Where should I stay?

Answer

We do! We have secured a one-night and two-night hotel block for our guests! Visit the “Travel” tab on this page to see the details for each!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than Friday, September 2nd!

Question

Do you have a COVID policy?

Answer

We both take the pandemic very seriously, and this is partially why we chose an outdoor venue. If you are feeling sick on the day of the wedding- as much as we would hate to miss you- we ask that you please stay home. While this is one of the most important days of our lives, the health and safety of our friends and family comes first. We encourage you to test before the wedding if you are able, and feel free to wear a mask if that makes you more comfortable! COVID (as we've all learned) is an ever changing situation, so we will absolutely communicate any further guidance as we get closer to the big day!

For all the days along the way
