FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we’ve listed here, please reach out to us!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We suggest cocktail attire for our wedding: cocktail dresses for women; and a suit or a sports coat with a tie for men. The ceremony will be on the beach, so plan your footwear accordingly.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Warm! Even Connecticut gets hot in August. The ceremony will be outside by the ocean, so be prepared for some wind.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside (weather permitting). The reception will be inside, but the Madison Beach Hotel has a beautiful wrap-around balcony that guests will have full access to during cocktail hour and the reception!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30. We recommend arriving around 5:00.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

As Connecticut is not advanced in public transportation, you will need to either drive or use a ride share app such as Uber or Lyft.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be complimentary parking at the Madison Beach Hotel.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation to see whether we have accounted for your children to join us for the wedding and reception. All children are invited to the Saturday welcome event.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Our registry is through our Zola wedding website.

Question

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

We will be having a welcome event the night before the wedding from 5:00-8:00. The event will be at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Shelter 3. Please refer to the "Schedule" section of our website for details!

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We’ll be sad not to have you, but please just RSVP when you receive the invitation and let us know you can’t make it so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation to see if we included a plus-one for you. We did our best to accommodate as many plus-ones as possible.
