We choose Austin for our wedding because it's a great, Texas city with a lot to offer out of town guests. If you've got some time over the wedding weekend, we've added a few ideas of things to do and see here to get you started. The city is full of great places to eat and drink, and you can also find a few different walking tours of the city if you'd like to see it by foot. Texas Capitol

On the other end of Congress street, about a 30 minute walk from the Hyatt hotel, is the Texas State Capitol building. Did you know that the Texas State Capitol building is taller than the US Capitol building in Washington, DC?!

Barton Springs

Within Zilker Park's 358 acres lies one of the crown jewels of Austin: Barton Springs Pool. This spring fed pool is a popular swimming destination for Austin residents year round. Barton Springs is about a 40 minutes, 2 miles walk from the hotel along the Ann and Roy Butler walking trail. Admission is $9.
