This is the first photo of Genevieve and Carl as adults, but not quite "in-person."

This is one of the first photos of Carl & Genevieve together, as adults, when they rendezvoused in North Carolina and hiked a bit on Roan Mountain.

Genevieve took Carl to Ginnie Springs when he first came to visit her from Chicago, in August 2020

Genevieve's namesake and beloved grandmother, "Nanny," got to meet Carl in the summer of 2020, and was enamored. Nanny passed away at 104 that December and we cherish this photo of us together.

Carl first learned to surf as a young teenager in Atlantic Beach. A surfer ever since, he caught good waves when Genevieve's niece, Wren was born in August 2021.

Carl is a terrible triathelete but Genevieve is his biggest fan.

In 2021, Carl was accepted into Genevieve's "Thanksgiving Family" and was humbled by her lifelong community of friends and the Florida beauty they return to, and continue to find.

We only just discovered (via this photo) that Carl attended Genevieve's parents' wedding. Pictured here is Genevieve's granddad, Luke, her mom, Joanna (the bride), Carl's dad, Pete, & Carl.
