Best Man
The eldest of the Burns brothers, Logan is largely the inspiration for all of Evan’s hobbies. More importantly, he has set the bar for parenting for all future Burnses to come.
Man of Honor
Tripper is the eldest DiMauro. Maturity wise, he's the youngest. His superpower is having the most energy in the room and he is responsible for Elisa's competitiveness. No matter your mood, he will be happy to see you and ready to go! Also, Tripper does great impersonations of Ric Flair.
Best Man
Brendan is four years older than Evan, and he improved Evan's quality of life years back by moving from Baltimore to Brooklyn. Living just a 30 minute walk from each other, there's always a reason to get together, be it to watch a Ravens game, head upstate, or go out for all-you-can-eat sushi.
Man of Honor
Alex is a 4 years younger than Elisa and while his wardrobe is loud (very DiMauro-esque), he stands out from the rest of the DiMauro clan in a couple of ways: 1) he can actually chill out a bit. He knits in his down time and enjoys a good pedicure. And 2) he looks like a pirate.
Best Man
Ryan is Evan's immediate older brother (2 years). Ryan leads the family in cumulative weights lifted, fires started, and beers drank. And somehow, he's also the most responsible. A role model, no doubt.
Man of Honor
Vinnie is 10 years younger than Elisa and is the baby of the bunch (still more mature than Tripper, though). At 12 years old, he had his own YouTube channel that, lucky for you, is still viewable: youtube.com/watch?v=fwuZ51yQMhk A self-proclaimed Spotify Country DJ, his Driving Country playlist has 339 followers and Pool Party Country has 2. Give him a follow! open.spotify.com/user/bossman_of_merica?si=WlT80ozYRzi6jC4Y-mTkhA
Bridesmaid
Jenn and Elisa met through Tripper and Jenn quickly became the sister Elisa always wanted but parents never gave her. Jenn is a real life Katherine Heigl from 27 Dresses - she's a professional bridesmaid and the only member of the bridal party here for more than good looks. She's also the Tripper whisperer, making sure he doesn't get too out of hand. Like we said, she's going to be very helpful at the wedding.
Bridesman
Smart, witty, and fun, Dan and Elisa quickly gravitated towards each other to plan joyful events at school and then organize even more joyful events for the staff afterwards. He’s a truly emotional dancer, has flawless style, and can limbo lower than you. If you ever find yourself competing against him in trivia or a lip sync battle, give up. Dan and his roommate Lauren also throw a really great engagement party.
Bridesmaid
Michelle does not work at Democracy Prep. Elisa and Michelle met at Fordham (#RAMTOWN) in journalism class and have been friends ever since. Michelle has been much more than a bridesmaid during Elisa and Evan's engagement - She's been a stylist (picking out the wedding dress), a choreographer (wait until you see Burns' moves), and a counselor (making sure they've answered the hard questions before marriage). At the wedding, you'll find Michelle flossing on the dance floor, tagging you out at second base, or pushing you in the lake. Be prepared.
Bridesman
Frank and Elisa met at Democracy Prep 6 years ago. Since then they’ve traveled to 4 countries together and New Jersey, twice. He makes a mean burrito and will beat you in any board game. Frank and Elisa see eye to eye on just about nothing, but what they do share is a love for 80s cover bands, Escape the Room, and well organized events.
Bridesman
Freeman, aka Lil Timmy, also worked at (you guessed it) Democracy Prep. Evan and Freeman share a mutual love of Memphis, Tennessee (where the former taught for 2 years and the latter went to college). Elisa and Freeman share a love of coaching and worked together for 5 years leading their volleyball and softball teams to 0 championships. They did get to spend a lot of time together and became great friends in the process. Freeman is Elisa’s “no-man”, telling her bluntly when her ideas are dumb and decisions are bad. He was in full support of her marrying Burns, so that's how you know it was a good idea.
Officiant
John (known throughout Harlem as Papa Lindquist) knows us both better than almost anyone. He was Elisa’s mentor when she began teaching. He was one of Evan’s first work friends, so much that he would copy Evan’s emails to his team and pass them off as his own. John helped coordinate some of Elisa and Evan’s “chance” meetings at Blondie’s at the beginning of the relationship so he really does deserve credit for making this wedding possible. John is also an accomplished tenor who moonlights at Carnegie Hall and will be providing impromptu campfire entertainment throughout the weekend.
Ring Bearer
Nonno and Nonni Dimauro were together for 68 years so if anyone knows the secret to a successful marriage, it's him. And at 93, he's spent much of his life remembering things, which means the rings are safest with him.
